Dan’s experience of power boating extends to his ownership of a Hallett 25 which he uses on the rough waters of the Colorado River to go to Fox’s Bar or The Roadrunner Bar “Navigation on the River can be tough at night, one wrong turn and your in some guys front yard!”
Dan didn't believe a drysuit was needed in my old cat, until we went to Cowes for lunch the last time he was in the UK.. Fish and Chips was on the menu and I’ve never seen them eaten so quickly.. “Just as I remember them” Dan said “All greasy but where’s the news paper?”
Dan picked up the Gauntlet of being Navigator and is in a strict training routine to get “Super Fit” for the Cowes Torquay Cowes race in August 2009
Dan says:
“This is a first for me, Offshore Racing in the UK—WOW, what would the guys at the river say about this?, The English Channel is just like the Colorado River at home, just a bit wider, and a bit rougher, one wrong turn and your in France!!!!”
Could this be the understatement of the Century?
